Competitive? Me?!?!?! No...

I haven't posted in a while. Sorry about that. Honestly, I got pretty tired of couponing. Not the savings, per se, but the clipping, organizing, planning, waiting, rain checking, etc. When I talked to Nick about this, he was less than thrilled. You see, I have saved $2912 since January 14. He was reluctant to hear that I was struggling.

Today, my neighbor and friend, Wendy, went to the store and saved a freaking TON of money! I was really happy for her since she says that I'm part of the reason she started couponing. In fact, her savings kicked my savings' butt!

And Nick didn't miss his chance to rib me about it. I'm glad he did. My competitive side couldn't take it! Just got back from the store...
I bought:

2 Wonder Breads
Large Publix Fruit Salad
Tide Duo Pacs
Purex Crystals
Cheetos
2 Voila frozen meals
2 10 ct Finish Quantum tabs
10 PF Milano cookies... ;)
Tide Washing Machine cleaner
Variety pack of chips
1 bag of Tostitos
50, yes FIFTY, Muellers pastas (a money maker, so I'm donating them)
6 ct Sparkle paper towels
2 Crest toothpastes
2 cans of premixed Enfamil Newborn
Nesquik chocolate milk mix (the big one)
tomatoes
bananas
1 lb turkey lunch meat
1 lb ham lunch meat
1 lb polish sausage
5 lb red potatoes
beef (for stirfry)
24 ct Aquafina water
1 1/2 gallons of Kroger milk
2 Fruity Pebbles
2 Cocoa Pebbles
6 Dial AB handsoaps
4 Dial AB bar soaps
2 things of bird seed

I spent: $113.15. I saved: $173.50!

I still have about $40 left for the week... Wonder how I'll spend it...

When I'm back in the saddle again.... Back in the saddle again!!!!

By the way, leave a comment. Don't let me be lonely...

I've always thought about using more coupons but it just seems so overwhelming. I'd love to see some tips on how to get started!
